MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN/PAINTER (FULL-TIME)

Toonen Properties is seeking a full-time, energetic maintenance technician and painter to join our growing team of professionals in the Green Bay and Fox Valley areas.

Responsibilities and Requirements:

  • Perform general maintenance for all apartments, hallways, buildings, common areas including but not limited to basic plumbing, electrical, and HVAC repairs, appliance repair and replacement, minor plaster/paint repair, minor carpentry and cabinetry repair, garage door repair, fence repair, minor roof or siding repair, special projects, etc.
  • Be willing to try to learn new things as situations arise and work with management to troubleshoot and devise the best plan of action.
  • Utilize equipment properly and safely.
  • Report to supervisor any pertinent resident or property issues or concerns.
  • Take the initiative to handle things as you see them without being asked.
  • Assist with resident events both during and after normal hours.
  • Enjoy helping residents by happily handling work order requests.
  • Be able and willing to perform other duties as requested.
  • Must possess a valid driver’s license and have reliable transportation.
  • Must have a cell phone.
  • Must have a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • After hours emergency on-call maintenance rotation required.

Painting Responsibilities and Requirements:

  • Read blueprints/instructions and examine surfaces to determine the kind and amount of work necessary.
  • Make on-site preparations such as building scaffolding, covering fixtures etc.
  • Prepare walls and other surfaces for painting by scraping, using sandpaper, removing old paint etc.
  • Fill cracks and holes with appropriate material (e.g. plaster).
  • Mix paint and other materials to prepare the right color or texture.
  • Paint surfaces according to instructions with various tools.
  • Apply varnish and other finishes.
  • Calculate costs and negotiate prices.
  • Take and adhere to all health and safety precautions.
  • Proven experience as a painter.
  • Excellent knowledge of painting material and how to select, mix and apply.
  • Solid knowledge of commercial and/or construction painting techniques.
  • Aptitude in using appropriate tools (brushes, caulking guns etc.).
  • Manual dexterity with excellent balance to work on scaffolding, ladders etc.
  • Conscientious with great attention to detail.

GENERAL LABORER/MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN (FULL-TIME)

Toonen Properties is seeking a FULL-TIME LABORER/MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN in Green Bay and Fox Valley areas.

Toonen Properties, the premiere multi-family property management company in Northeast Wisconsin, is seeking full-time maintenance technicians to join our growing team of maintenance professionals in the Green Bay and Fox Valley areas. Our ideal candidate will be reliable, hardworking, service oriented, mechanically inclined, and will continuously promote a positive, friendly, and professional image while being an active and helpful team member. Training will be provided however experience is preferred.

$1,500 Sign on Bonus paid ($500 AT 90 & $500 AT 180 DAYS $500 AT 365 DAYS)

Responsibilities and Requirements:

  • Perform exterior building maintenance and repair.
  • Minor carpentry, roofing, and siding repair.
  • Hang doors, and complete necessary trim work.
  • Utilize equipment properly and safely.
  • Report to supervisor any pertinent resident or property issues or concerns.
  • Take the initiative to handle things.
  • Be able and willing to perform other duties as requested.
  • Must possess a valid driver’s license. Candidates with more experience may start out at a higher hourly wage, with performance bonus potential. Over-time opportunities are available.
